That's right. Marketing *thingies.* I can hear you groaning at your screen.
And that's okay! One thing you're going to learn about me: I don't take myself very seriously, but I take the work that I do very very seriously.
I live in the one and only City of Pittston, the Tomato Capital of the World™. I'm very proud of where I live, and I'm thankful to be involved in the community.
I am a graduate of Wilkes University with a BA in Communication Studies, as well as a high school graduate from the Pittston Area School District. Additionally, I received my MBA from the Mississippi State University online graduate program.
I am a marketing and communications professional. Press releases? Flyers? Photos and videos? Website editing? Podcasting? Graphic design? You name it, and I probably do it. And if I don't, well, I plan on doing it someday. I take pride in being a jack-of-all-trades and always challenging myself to learn new things.
Now, why marketing? Well, I love being creative. I love being a collaborator and working with people, helping them take their ideas and creating something tangible from them. Having a great variety of directions to go in is something very exciting to me. I love to smile, and I take great pride in having fun in my work.
But most of all, I love being a storyteller. Everyone has a unique life experience and a story to share, and I believe it is very meaningful to use the various mediums at my disposal to help share those stories the best way I can.
Each of us only gets one life. One chance on this earth. Time is the most precious commodity we have, and it is a resource we will never get back once it is used. I want to use the limited time I have on Earth to do things I find truly meaningful to better my community. If I have to spend the majority of my time working, I want to be working at something that is fun and worthwhile.
